Product Details
TARPGamma2/Stargazin
Voltage-dependent calcium channel gamma-2 subunit, TARPGamma2 or Stargazin is encoded by the gene CACNG2 and is the transmembrane gamma subunit of the L-type calcium channel. Stargazin is in involved in regulation and trafficking of the ligand gated ion channel AMPA receptors. It is thought to play a role in learning and memory. Diseases associated with this gene include forms of deafness, Mental Retardation and childhood absnce epilepsy.
