ABTS 1-Component HRP Microwell Substrate (SUBA)
ABTS 1-Component HRP Microwell Substrate is a ready-to-use solution containing 2,2’-azino-bis(3-ethylbenzthiazoline-6-sulfonic acid) in a mildly acidic buffer. This substrate is ideal for use in ELISAs where the detection level is in the µg-ng/mL range and horseradish peroxidase (HRP) is the conjugated detection enzyme. ABTS 1-Component HRP Microwell Substrate is suitable for ELISAs where the test samples contain high concentrations of the target molecule or when it is advantageous to utilize lower sample dilution factors.

ABTS substrate is oxidized by the peroxidase enzyme to yield a soluble blue-green reaction product. In endpoint assays, the reaction can be stopped by adding equal volumes of 1% sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS).

- Allow product to equilibrate to room temperature (25°C) prior to use.
- Add 100 µL to each well. When reacting with peroxidase, a soluble blue reaction product develops that can be read at 405-410 nm.
- In endpoint assays, the reaction can be stopped by adding equal volumes of 1% sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS) and reading at 405-410 nm.
