Our Anti-Vimentin primary antibody from PhosphoSolutions is chicken polyclonal. It detects human, mouse, and rat Vimentin and is total IgY fraction. It is great for use in WB, IHC, ICC.

Vimentin is expressed alone in fibroblastic and endothelial cells, which are the flattened cells in the middle of the image which appear green. Astrocytes may express primarily GFAP, or GFAP and vimentin, and so appear red (GFAP only) or golden yellow (GFAP and Vimentin).

The presence of Nestin indicates that the cells are developing astrocytes, neuroblasts or undifferentiated neural stem cells.
