Product Details
Cavß3 calcium channel
Voltage-dependent L-type calcium channel subunit beta-3 or Cav ß3 is encoded by the gene CACNB3. Cavß3 is a cytoplasmic subunit of voltage-sensitive calcium channels. These channels facilitate entry of calcium ions into excitable cells are involved in a variety of calcium dependent processes, including neurotransmitter release, muscle contraction, and gene expression. Cav ß3 is expressed in brain, colon and ovary. Diseases associated with this gene include Lambert-Eaton Myasthenic Syndrome.
