Product Details
Kv1.5 K+ channel
Potassium voltage-gated channel subfamily A member 5 or Kv1.5 is encoded by the gene KCNA5. Kv1.5 is a potassium channel subunit is a member of the potassium channel, voltage-gated, shaker-related subfamily. Potassium channels form homotetrameric and heterotetrameric channels in the membrane with various other related proteins, including KCNA2, KCNA4, KCNA5, KCNA6, KCNA7. Kv1.5 is expressed in heart, including the atria nd ventricles. Kv1.5 channels are also expressed in many other organs, such as pulmonary arteries, brain, skeletal muscle. Diseases associated with KCNA5 include Familial Atrial Fibrillation and insulinoma.
