Product Details
MMP9
Matrix Metallopeptidase 9 is encoded by the gene MMP9. MMP9 is a member of the peptidase M10A family. MMP9 may play a role in local proteolysis of the extracellular matrix, leukocyte migration, and bone osteoclastic resorption. MMP9 cleaves type IV and V collagen into large C-terminal three quarter fragments and shorter N-terminal one quarter fragments. MMP9 is expressed in neutrophils. Diseases associated with MMP9 include Metaphyseal Anadysplasia 2 and Metaphyseal Anadysplasia.
