Product Details
QKI-5
QKI5 is a member of the Signal Transduction and Activation of RNA proteins (STAR proteins) family. QKI5, QKI6 QKI7 and QKI7b are alternatively spliced mRNAs from the QKI1 gene. QKI5 is a RNA-binding protein. QKI5 has roles in the regulation of splicing, export and stability of mRNA. It is involved in myelinization. It is a nuclear isoform and contains a C-terminal nuclear localization signal. Diseases associated with this gene include Angiocentric Glioma, 6Q Terminal Deletion Syndrome .and Schizophrenia.
