Tafazzin, Protein G4.5 or Transcriptional Coactivator With PDZ-Binding Motif is encoded by the gene TAZ. Tafazzin is a mitochondrial transacylase which is involved in cardiolipin remodeling. Tafazzin is expressed in cardiac and skeletal muscle. Diseases associated with this gene include Barth Syndrome and Atrial Standstill.
