Non ionic detergents like Brij 35 are used in immunoassays for diluting antibodies to lower background, and non-specific ag-ab reaction. This detergent is also used in washing buffer in all immunoassays (ELISA, IHC, Blot assays and others) to reduce background. Brij 35 is polyoxyethylene laural ether, it lowers surface tension of water.

This detergent is also used in washing buffer from 0.5- 0.1% in all immunoassays (ELISA, Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Blot assays and others) to reduce background. Brij 35 is polyoxyethylene laural ether, it lowers surface tension of water.
This detergent is supplied as 15% in water with 0.15 % Proclin 300 as preservative.
