Product Details

KCC2
Solute carrier family 12 member 5 is encoded by the gene SLC12A5 and belongs to the SLC12 family of cation-coupled chloride transporters. SLC12A5 is an integral membrane K-Cl cotransporter that mediates electroneutral potassium-chloride cotransport in mature neurons and is required for neuronal Cl(-) homeostasis. Diseases associated with SLC12A5 include Early Infantile Epileptic Encephalopathy 34 and Idiopathic Generalized Epilepsy 14.
