Product Details
Navbeta1 Na+ channel
Sodium channel subunit beta-1or Navbeta1 Na+ channel is encoded by SCN1B. Voltage gated sodium channels are made up of an alpha (pore forming) subunit and 1 or 2 beta subunits. SCN1B has two splice variants. Navß1 is a transmembrane protein and acts as a regulatory subunit in excitable membranes and modulates the kinetics of channel inactivation. It is found expressed in brain, spinal cord, heart and skeletal muscle. Diseases associated with SCN1B include several types of epilepsy.
