Product Details
SAPAP1
SAPAP1 (also known as disks large associated protein 1, DAP-1, or DLGAP1) is a member of the SAPAP or DLGAP family of proteins. SAPAP1 is part of the scaffold in neuronal cells of the brain and is a component of the postsynaptic complex. SAPAP1 acts as an adaptor protein that binds synaptic scaffold proteins, cytoskeletal proteins and signaling proteins including PSD-95 and SHANK. SAPAP1 is expressed in neurons of the cortex, hippocampus and in Purkinje cells in the cerebellum. Diseases associated with DLGAP1 include Retinitis Pigmentosa 55 and Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder
