ICT’s Goat Anti Rabbit IgG Fc HRP Conjugated Antibody is suitable for ELISA and Western blotting analysis techniques.
Goats were immunized with a purified preparation of rabbit IgG Fc fragment that was obtained from a purified normal rabbit IgG antibody protein pool. The hyperimmune IgG fraction was initially solid phase adsorbed to obtain class specificity. Subsequently, the anti-Fc antibody was adsorbed to and eluted from a second solid phase immunoaffinity purification gel containing covalently coupled rabbit IgG Fc protein.
Affinity purified, anti-rabbit IgG Fc specific goat IgG was covalently coupled with HRP using a maleimide (M)- facilitated conjugation technique. In this process, free sulfhydryl groups are added to the anti-rabbit IgG Fc prep just prior to its reaction with a 4-fold molar excess of HRP-M. This process leads to an IgG-HRP conjugate that contains between 2 and 4 HRP molecules per IgG molecule.
Using ELISA and IEP analysis techniques, the IgG component of this conjugate was specific for normal rabbit serum IgG and was non-reactive with other serum proteins.
Goat Anti Rabbit IgG Fc HRP Conjugated Antibody is dissolved in a Tris based conjugate stabilization buffer containing 50 ppm ProClin 300 anti-microbial agent.
