Product Details
Cavbeta1 Ca2+ channel
Voltage-dependent L-type calcium channel subunit beta-1 or Cav ß1 is encoded by the gene CACNB1. Cavß1 is a cytoplasmic subunit of L type voltage-sensitive calcium channels. These channels facilitate entry of calcium ions into excitable cells are involved in a variety of calcium dependent processes, including neurotransmitter release, muscle contraction, and gene expression. Cavß1 serves to regulate the activity of L-type calcium channels. Cavß1 expressed in brain, heart, spleen, central nervous system and neuroblastoma cells. Diseases associated with CACNB1 include Malignant Hyperthermia and epileptic encephalopathy.
