Slo2.1/Slick K+ channel
Potassium sodium-activated channel subfamily T member 2 is encoded by the gene KCNT2. KCNT2 is a member of the potassium channel family, calcium-activated (TC 1.A.1.3) subfamily, KCa4.2/KCNT2 sub-subfamily. KCNT2 is an outward rectifying potassium channel which produces rapidly activating outward rectifying K+ currents. KCNT2 is expressed in the brain and skin. Diseases associated with KCNT2 include Early Infantile Epileptic Encephalopathy 57 and Bulbar Polio.
