Product Details
BKbeta3a K+ channel
Calcium-activated potassium channel subunit beta-3, Potassium Calcium-Activated Channel Subfamily M Regulatory Beta Subunit 3 or BKBeta3a is encoded by the gene KCNMB3. BKbeta3a can bind to KCNMA1 to form a channel in the calcium activated large conductance (MaxiK channel) family. BKbeta3a acts to modulate the calcium sensitivity and gating kinetics of KCNMA1. It is widely expressed in tissues, and is present in several isoforms. Diseases associated with this gene include Familial Febrile Seizures.
