Product Details
Dicer
Endoribonuclease Dicer or Dicer 1, Ribonuclease III is encoded by the gene DICER1. DICER1 acts as a double stranded (ds) ribonuclease and plays a role in short post transcriptional gene silencing. DICER1 cleaves full length dsRNA and miRNA into smaller moleclues 21-23 nucleotides in length, called siRNAs and microRNAs. Dicer1 is expressed in a variety of tissues, including brain. Diseases associated with this gene include Pleuropulmonary Blastoma, Glow Syndrome and Wilms Tumor.
